Architect-in-training and design advocate, Ross Barney Architects
Ryan is a Architect in training at Ross Barney Architects in Chicago, Illinois. Originally from Holland, Michigan, Ryan knew he wanted to be an architect since fifth grade when he began drawing floor plans of luxurious private planes. He spent his time at the Illinois Institute of Technology’s College of Architecture as an opportunity to explore the confluence of architecture, art, and culture in an urban setting, graduating with a Bachelor of Architecture degree in 2014.
Chicago has become a great place for Ryan to explore his architectural beliefs and interests. The gritty Midwestern City is rich with opportunities for interventions that are meaningful, contextual, and progressive.
In his spare time he enjoys traveling and is devoted to being inspired by culture, architecture, and food.
