Architect and Teacher
Richard Kasemsarn is a licensed architect who has been practicing in Chicago for more than ten years. His projects range from institutional and commercial to residential. He is committed to an interdisciplinary way of working. His belief is that architect’s training should be one of intellectual flexibilty and that practice should reflect a strong client relationship and sensitive understanding to the site and program.
Mr. Kasemsarn received his graduate degree in Architecture from Yale University (1997). He received his bachelor degree from the University of Michigan (1992) where he studied architecture and art. Despite being in a digital age, Mr. Kasemsarn still believes in the quality of ideas that can be developed by the hand. Drawing and painting has played an important role in his career as an architect and educator. He has lectured on its relevance in evergrowing digitally rendered world.
