Joseph Long

Artist and Lecturer, University of Brighton, Sussex Coast College

Joseph Long is a Visiting Lecturer in Painting at the University of the Arts London and an Associate Lecturer in Art Theory at University Centre Hastings, in partnership with University of Brighton.
Since graduating from the Royal College of Art, Joseph Long’s work has evolved through an investigation into the history and documentation of flowering plants. Often working from drawings and photographs taken on walks and in his surroundings, his paintings attempt to reconsider our relationship with plants and there evolving cultural significance.
