Carly Garner is a qualified nature pedagogue (Federation University, 2015), member of the International Association of Nature Pedagogy and advisor to the Forest School Alliance (UK). Carly is the only Claire Warden Associate Trainer in Queensland, and is licensed to train educators, teachers and people working with children in the theory and practice of nature pedagogy. Carly is a Nature Play Qld partner, and recipient of the first Nature Play Qld award for Best Nature Play Program in Queensland in 2015. Carly also collaborates with the Sunshine Coast Council, Noosa Council and Moreton Bay Councils, C&K Childcare, the Woodford Folk Festival, Conscious Life Festival, the World Environment Day Festival, Enviroweek Australia and The Greater Good Foundation. Her experience, knowledge and qualifications in the practical application of nature pedagogy in Queensland have been developed over 21 years and are unrivalled in this region.

Natureweavers is an award winning forest school program for children and families that combines environmental education, nature connection and regional sustainability. Based in Black Mountain, Carly Garner and her team have been working with children in wildspace since 2010. Their programs include a weekly bush kinder, a monthly WildPlayGroup, Saturday sessions, seasonal celebrations, overnight camps and holiday programs. Carly is also a member of the International Association of Nature Pedagogy and advisor to the Forest School Alliance. In her presentation, Carly talks about her innovative approach to environmental education with kids taking risks and getting down and dirty!
