Amanda Carver is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who has been practicing psychotherapy since 2003. She received her Master of Science degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from The Family Institute at Northwestern University, and has completed over 80 hours of comprehensive training in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) for couples and over 100 hours of advanced training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) for individuals and groups. Highlights of her expertise include facilitating more secure connections for those struggling with dating and marital problems as well as offering compassionate support and concrete coping skills for those seeking to better manage anxiety, stress, and mood swings. She has a special passion for helping both gay and straight couples create and enjoy lasting love and affection in their relationships and helping women create deeply meaningful lives.
