Ryo Ijichi is the director of F-World, which is working on the project of building a indoor facility for the kids in Fukushima. After the March 11th disaster, most of the children are left with no way to play outside, which is unfortunately leading them towards a unhealthy life style. The indoor park will be big enough to hold skate parks, gardens, concert venues, and much more for people to enjoy.

André Corrêa do Lago is the Brazilian Ambassador to Japan, as well as a curator and critic of architecture. Representing both of these roles, Ambassador Lago's presentation covers Brazil's amazing diplomatic links to architecture, with a final focus on the World Cup 2014 installation that was produced at the Brazil Embassy in Tokyo by esteemed Japanese architect Shigeru Ban.

A former Managing Partner of Frank Gehry Associates, David has been working in the Virtual World for seven years and is founder of the K2C project funded by the US State Department bringing together American and Egyptian architecture students in collaboration in the Virtual World via avatars.

AIA 2014 Convention

Our big PechaKucha Night at Tokyo Designers Week 2014 was an amazing one, with a terrific lineup and close to 700 in attendance. We're also really glad that The Verge agrees, as it included us in its list of "37 awesome things" it saw at Tokyo Designers Week.

In his PechaKucha talk he presents his design for big pieces of random crystals. They were shown at the well-known Amsterdam Fashion Week. Cynthia Drescher, travel editor for Condé Nast's Jaunted and pilot in training, talks about small planes, remote destinations, and speed limits. Going into depth and discovering the rarest places that only allow you to get there by one, or various, modes of transportation. Tiffany Lentz believes in the power of yes, and thinks you should say yes too. Going into her own life changing story and experiences, Tiffany was able to learn new things about the world and life. Local tattoo artist Sailor Cher tells us about some of the women who have inspired her through the years. The one who has inspired her most may surprise you. Lyn Langlais has to answer one of the most common questions a skydiver will ever be asked, "Why do you jump out of a perfectly good airplane?" Lyn's answer to that is: simply to live life. She enjoys the thrill that skydiving gives her and the sense of accomplishment and life that fills her the second she jumps off the plane.
