"Ballad Of The Lonely Fish"

BY DANIELLE DE PICCIOTTO + ALEXANDER HACKE
IN BERLIN

Danielle de Picciotto and Alexander Hacke are an American-German artist couple living in Berlin and New York. Painter, illustrator, filmaker and musician Danielle presented some of her drawings and images of the couple's latest tours and performances at our cosy PKN Haiti in Berlin. This presentation was a first debut of Alexander Hacke and Danielle de Picciotto's latest song called "Ballad Of The Lonely Fish". With Alexander being the lead guitarist of the legendary industrial rock & Avant-garde band Einstürzende Neubauten, we were extremely honored to have such a "piece of music history" as guests in our humble home. www.hacke.org www.en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Einst%C3%BCrzende_Neubauten www.danielledepicciotto.com

BY TIM SPAHR
@ VOL 21 ON NOV 10, 2016

According to presenter Tim Spahr, he’s best known as Elizabeth Spahr's husband. Tim has been a game warden in southern Maine for nearly 20 years. Some of you may have seen him on TV, as the star of the popular “Northwoods Law” series on Animal Planet. At age 57, however, he wonders how long he can keep up with the rigorous duties required of his job, so he is considering a career change. Tim is handing in his gun and badge for a shovel and trowel. He believes working as an archaeologist, shoveling dirt and sifting 40-pound buckets of dirt, must surely be easier. Tim holds degrees from College of the Atlantic and Harvard University.  He is a veteran of the Fighting US Coast Guard – notice the emphasis on “Fighting.” His presentation is titled Pre-Contact Fish Weirs in Cape Porpoise (question mark).
