Experimental Education

BY ZOSIA CHEN-WERNIK
@ VOL 30 ON SEP 24, 2016

Zosia Chen-Wernik shares that her own path of learning started from “experimental education”. Her parents let her conduct self-study at home as a child.  She learned about other cultures and languages, as well as such skills as calligraphy. But, self-study was not only confined to studying at home.  Instead, the process of learning also came from travelling and daily life, as well as from ice skating, making documentary films, and engaging in modelling work. Then, at the age of 17, she founded a skiing school, which opened up unlimited possibilities for her life.
