From Taipei Vol. 25 - The Imagination of Social Housing

Wang Zhe
and Cheng-Hen Yu, Architects, think the establishment of human's relationship and the delighted events of life from the 'open space (Garden)'. The proposal 'Fluid Garden' attempts to have the 'virtual space' become the main part of the building with different levels of Garden. By using the fluid patterns, link up the relationship between people, so that create a public courtyard providing the interaction with the city, in the meantime, people can still retain private courtyard shared with family.

Dementia Friendly Garden Project

Originally from Japan, now living in Chelmsford, Tamae Isomura talks about her project designing the dementia friendly garden for local Broomfield hospital and the inspiration behind her work.

Tamae graduated from the Higher Certificate in Garden Design and MA in Garden Design at Writtle College with multiple awards. With an extensive experience in working at a large NHS hospital to create the healing outdoor spaces, she specialises in therapeutic landscape design by utilising both Japanese and English landscape philosophy and principles.
