Ed McNulty is a retired Presbyterian minister whose film reviews have appeared in Catholic, Protestant, and secular publications since 1977. During the 90s he served a church in Dayton and earned his Doctor of Ministry degree in art, film and theology at United Theological Seminary. For six years he led the Lenten Film Series at the Neon Movies. He views certain films as parables, similar to those told by the Hebrew prophets and Jesus in their attempts to challenge wrong conceptions and expand human understanding of neighbors and enemies alike.
