Walking through history

Angela Mombers makes detailled and rich reproductions of historical costumes, usually of nobility. het costumes frange from the 15th till beginning of 20th century. She is inspired by antique paintings and museum artifacts. The process of costume making is followed by thousands of fans via her Instagram account Walking Through History and on FB Walking Through History with Jasper and Angela - from inspiration, via tutorials towards the end result.

Mohammed Kechouh and Rudy van der Aar decided to ride from Maassluis (the Netherlands) to Mekka on bicycles made out of wood. One of the goals of this journey was to promote sustainability. One TEAM with one green task: to motivate people to live a more sustainable life. Together Each Achieves More.

Botanical philosophy

Norbert Peeters studied Archeology and philosophy at Leiden University. Together with his former Professor Wouter Oudemans he wrote ‘Plantaardig – Vegetatieve filosofie’. Last year his debut came out: ‘Botanische revolutie: De plantenleer van Charles Darwin’. This book was nominated for the Jan Wolkers prize. As a botanical philosopher Peeters writes about the common grounds of philosophy and botany.

Desert encounters

People experience moments of happiness in very different ways during those meetings. The money she raises is spent on the construction of the school that is being built in Ahmed’s oasis village.
