PRESENTED ON APR 22, 2015
IN TOKYO @ VOL 124

Presented at PechaKucha Night Tokyo Vol. 124Camouflage: The New Plaid's Researcher & Designer, Sjef van Gaalen, is fascinated with camouflage and the history of how it has become deeply ingrained in popular fashion culture. He deconstructs the ironies associated with fashion being at odds with the military, pointing out that the armed forces are now more concerned with the image that camouflage conveys to new recruits than with its original tactical use.
