A photograph lends itself to many interpretations. Suezy Proctor likes to get “closer in” to her subjects, then records her first impressions, which sometimes are expressed by a quote from a poem, a song, commercial, television show, artist, someone or something. Ordinary things become extraordinary when your focus is closer in.

(Un)Conventional Wisdom – Going Against the Grain

BY J. LEKO

Leko has been nearly kicked-out of such notable museums as the National Gallery of Art (Washington, D.C.), the Metropolitan Museum of Art (New York), Cognacq-Jay, Musée de Nissim de Camondo, and the Louvre (Paris), Rijksmuseum (Amsterdam), and the Victoria and Albert Museum (London). Actually, the Louvre did turn him away, come to think of it…

He occasionally teaches others and accepts commissions to build things for people that require far too much time!
