Life coach Rachael Laurence is blowing minds with an unmissable final presentation for PechaKucha Chelmsford Vol. 1.

Presentation No. 9 takes us on a journey about the clitoris: it's discovery, loss, and rediscovery. The anatomical structure and it's portrayal in art and culture across the ages.

CHELMSFORD Blog

PechaKucha Night Chelmsford Vol. 1

Do we ever stop and ask the question, why do we do what we do?
Could it be that we are going about it the wrong way and there's a better way – a more thoughtful way to achieving a fulfilled life?
PechaKucha brings together people who want to inspire and be inspired. At each event, a host of speakers take up the challenge to present on the topics that mean the most to them by following the 20x20 rule: they only have 20 images and 20 seconds per slide, with no stopping! The format of the event has become so popular that's it's happening in over 1060 cities around the world.
We can see why too, as the short format to the night works beautifully, with only 6 minutes and 40 seconds for each talk it keeps the speakers on their toes, as well as preventing them from waffling on for ages and hogging the stage! And it also works perfectly for the audience, allowing them to receive bite-size bits of info without having their attention drifting off (which often happens at longer events).
We have to give a special mention to our amazing presenters James Wilkinson, Beverley Matthews, Lindsey Emrich, Tayo Jones, Tame Isomura, Megan Hocklin Bennett, Aytac Uzmen, Martin Plummer and Rachael Laurence. All of them together gave the most inspiring talks and a real connection was made.
Also, I've got to give a mention to the team at The Transition who kept everyone well watered throughout the night, and the amazing team of volunteers who helped run the event with Martin and I, between them they helped create a really well-polished event.
We'd love to know what you think over on our Twitter or Facebook. And as a final note, we are keen to get out plans for Vol. 2 out in the coming weeks, if you want to present at the next event we want to hear from you! Drop us an email
