Forward Theater Company - Beyond the Stage

Forward Theater Company is Madison's professional theater. Each year, the theater devotes significant resources to outreach programming and aprtnerships that take the issues in productions beyond the stage and partnerships that take the issues in the productions beyond the stage and out into our community. These efforts allow the theater to engage with both traditional audiences and new constituents, to provoke constructive dialogue about crithical topics facing Madison and to draw attention to other non-profits.

This Pecha Kucha Night was held in the building owned by Frontløberne, an organization in Aarhus for young cultural creators. Torben Vinter is the current leader of Frontløberne, and he shares his own story as well as the story of the organization - the motivations, the goals and the current state of affairs.

Arternes Aarhus

"Arternes Aarhus" (ENG: "The species of Aarhus") is about giving a voice to all the species in the city of Aarhus, and not just the humans. Nina Tofte Hansen tells the quirky story of the species-ambassadors of Aarhus, and how other life forms are given consideration through these people. The audience is introduced to both the current Mole- and Dandelion-ambassador, and a tree - which is of course an Aarhusian as much as anybody else in the city.

Creativity of Tainan

Tainan’s Creative Collective “氣口” pronounced “Kwee Kau” was founded in 2016 by Leslie Tsai, Kang, Henry Huang, Sonia Selavy and Masahiro Han on the concept of creative expression and community networking. The group curates PechaKucha Night Tainan, with every event taking new form based on the immediate needs of the community. They’ll be sharing about their special city and the creativity that abounds there.
