Tony Ellis is a graduate of West of England College of Art. He spent many years travelling the world in spiritual pursuit before finally settling in America twenty years ago. His latest collection of photographic art entitled Abstract Images was mainly captured while working on alternative energy projects on the high desert plains of Colorado and California and from wandering the back alleys and decaying infrastructure of West Coast cities.
“I have always been fascinated by found art—the wonder of discovering visual magic in the most unlikely circumstances. I particularly like the idea that contemporary abstract images can be discovered in places which we often would pass by without a second glance.
“For me, art plays a valuable role in reconnecting us to the beauty and power of the environment we live in but often ignore. I think re-establishing this compassionate connection is a vital part of protecting and sustaining the world around us.”
