Lost and found: Can deep brain stimulation restore memory loss? Everyone forgets things sometimes. There is a difference, however, between natural forgetting and the type of memory loss associated to dementia-related disorders. Over the past 5 years, I have investigated at Maastricht University whether deep brain stimulation can be used to treat symptoms of dementia.
