“While all my friend’s… hair would sway in the wind, my hair even defied the laws of physics. It would just stay absolutely still.”

In Big Hair Don't Care from PechaKucha Night Markham’s 9th Volume, curly hair ambassador, chocolate-maker, and biathlon competitor Sandy Saad discusses what it's like to grow up with natural hair. Drawing from memories of her embarrassing hair phases, she tells the tale of how she came to accept her natural beauty.
