Designer, Creative Director
Paul Pugh is an award-winning designer and innovator.
With the help of great teams he has put many millions of handsets in market and set the strategy and design for leading technology companies around the world. With a background in Architecture, Paul saw the opportunity to bring his visual craft and system thinking to the digital realm.
Currently his primary interest is on how the computing power in our pockets and the environments around us can improve and enrich our lives. He is currently the Executive Creative Director for Amazon Kindle and Fire Products and a former Vice President of Creative for frog design.
Paul has founded two companies: Mediatruck (1997), a venture-backed software tools and consulting company, Handwire (2002) a boutique software design and development firm. He has been fortunate to lead several engagements in Japan including the design of FeelUX for Sharp Aquos and HondaLink software for Honda Japan.
Dreamliner of Design
Paul Pugh is the Executive Creative Director for Amazon Kindle and Fire Products, and in this personal presentation for Tokyo Designers Week 2014, he takes us on a tour of the dreamliner of his dreams, using the exercise to also illustrate his design philosophy.
