Senior Designer, Anchorage Museum
Detouring from the traditional-architect-profession track, I'm lately interested in community advocacy, Toblerone chocolate, airlines, the Monocle Magazine, personal budgets, politics, for-purpose organizations, real-estate, and finishing up those architect exams.
Japan-born and Alaska-raised, I feel fortunate to have varied, wild, and weird experiences to apply to this so-called adult life. When not super busy working at the Anchorage Museum, I tend to fill the void with things to do for the Alaska Design Forum and AIA Alaska Chapter.
I've started to appreciate how freelancing on the side helps keep me up to date with the latest gossips and trends of the architecture industry, which would devastate my soul to lose touch of, albeit not pursuing to be fully immersed.
