David is a structural engineer, and Director of Design and Engineering at Cake Industries. Whilst working for Flint & Neill (now COWI) in London, he was the lead designer for Greenwich Reach Swing Bridge; Montgomery Bridge in Canary Wharf; and led the structural design team for the international competition winning scheme for the Nine Elms to Pimlico Bridge over the Thames in London, UK. He has a passion for close collaboration between architects, engineers, and fabricators, and is excited about the use of digital tools in the design process. He is a co-founder of dotBuiltEnvironment – an organisation that promotes digital adoption in the construction industry.
