A few years ago, Adrian Hogan went to Aomori, Japan and taught English for one year. During that time, he developed a habit of drawing his students. Here he shows us his work and how it has evolved over the years. Now he works as a freelance illustrator in Tokyo.

This Is Aomori

Illustrator Adrian Hogan and Alex Queen met while both residents in Aomori, and they kick of their presentation by introducing some the lesser known sights and culture of the prefecture. They then talk about a publishing project they have launched that involves "Tsugaru Folk Tales" translated into modern Japanese and English. You'll even get to learn a few words from the Aomori dialect.
