Josh Mings, AIA is a licensed architect in Illinois with 5+ years experience in multi-family and senior affordable housing, new construction and rehab projects, commercial projects, and neighborhood planning schemes. Josh focuses on ways new projects can be incorporated into the historic/existing fabric of a given area and also speak to, and create a dialogue with, the culture of its location. At Landon Bone Baker Architects Josh has worked on a variety of projects and scales including the renovation and reimagining of Dorchester Art+Housing Collaborative, the design affordable senior housing buildings in the Woodlawn and West Town neighborhoods of Chicago, Kansas City, MO, and West Dundee, Illinois, and the revitalization of the Marshall Hotel SRO in Old Town.
Josh is active with AIA Chicago’s Design Knowledge Community committee, and volunteers as a juror for the Chicago Architecture Foundation’s Newhouse and Discover Design competitions. In 2014, Josh participated in AIA Chicago’s Bridge 5.0 Leadership program for Young Architects. In his spare time, Josh enjoys biking, reading, painting, photography, and exploring Chicago.
