Our interaction with technology these days primarily involves touch displays, keyboards, and mice. We spend hours manipulating these tools, and getting results/output via a glowing LCD screen. While interaction designer Carlos Velasquez believes computers aren't going anywhere, he has the unique thought that they will eventually serve their purpose as a tool that involves more tangible interaction and response.

The IMRC Labs are a creative sciences, innovation, and technology center within the University of Maine that focuses on introducing design thinking strategies to provide innovation opportunities for students, involved community members, entrepreneurs, and business leaders. Sean Taylor is a third year candidate for Master of Fine Arts at the University of Maine’s Intermedia Program and graduates in August. Alexey Dubinsky, a teacher from Dnipropetrovsk Medical Academy, in his presentation from PKN Dnipropetrovsk IT::Education, shared his view on the development of education and his experience in this field. There is an active digitization of content, useful for gaining knowledge in the medical field, and such systems as Moodle and Digital Health are being mastered. The most valuable assets are people and great attention should be paid to automation in healthcare industry that never stands still. Alexey urges not to throw away old and unwanted computers but instead to transfer them to the needs of the Medical Academy for professional development of future doctors.
