SINESTESIA, SENSO E PROGETTO

BY ANDREA TASSI
@ VOL 3 ON FEB 20, 2015

Adulthood as Guilty Pleasure

BY AI VUONG
@ VOL 8 ON DEC 20, 2016

Adulthood as Guilty Pleasure | Ai Vuong | PechaKucha Hanoi Vol 8
Recorded on December 20th, Ai Vuong shares her stories while working with kids at an NGO.

About speaker:
Ai Vuong
Creative Director | Writer | Educator, Clickable Vietnam in Hanoi Viet Nam
www.thelifeofclouds.com
Ái likes to laugh and to play, and therefore is always searching for ways to do that full-time.

In between the laughs, she serves as the Creative Director of Clickable Vietnam, a strategic marketing and communications agency in Hanoi. She also is a freelance writer, with publications in The Diplomat, Huffington Post, Vietnam Heritage, and other Vietnamese-American projects. She works on her own creative writing in her blog The Life of Clouds.

Before Hanoi, she spent five years in Huế co-creating The Lighthouse: A Creative Leadership Experience for disadvantaged kids as the Executive Director of the Friends of Hue Foundation. It was her time living, working, and yes, playing with the children at FHF Children’s Shelter where those children taught her that youth are incredible assets to the community, and they’re beyond capable of designing solutions for community-based problems.

Now as an “adult,” Ái also designs and facilitates unblocking creativity workshops for other “adults,” because everyone’s really a kid at heart. =)

A History of British Accents

How do you pronounce the letter "H"? Do you say "HAY-tch", or "AI-tch"? In this edition of Presentation of the Day (from PKN Toronto Vol. 16), Mark Staplehurst goes into detail on the history and variety of British accents. The way one speaks in England often says a lot about the way they are perceived -- the class from which they hail, their level of intellect, and their upbringing. As many say George Orwell said (thought it was Wyndham Lewis who said it first): "All Englishmen are branded on the tongue from birth."
