Leon Conradie is an experienced architectural academic, who is doing his Masters Research on "The Work of Crofton & Benjamin Architects: 1955 -1964." Crofton & Benjamin Architects were prolific in the 50s and 60s on beachfront developments, and have designed many iconic Durban buildings, each with an Art Deco style. In his presentation, Leon gives us a tour of these buildings, and points out their unique quirks. (in English)

Redesign a School

Architect Pascale Sablan is sharing her experience promoting diversity and including children in the design process of redesigning a school in Haiti after the earthquake. Following the international building code in the design she is also quantifying the sustainability of the product and encouraging the audience to share their passion and knowledge with children.

Architectural Influences

Brean Bush is an Architectural Designer with Hamilton Anderson Associates in Detroit. In 2015, she received her Master of Architecture at Lawrence Tech. Being a big advocate for experiencing architecture first hand, Brean has structured her education around architectural opportunities around the world.  Her team was chosen to fill an hour long live slot with their urban fairy-tale "A Little Fawn" which contemplates the dichotomy of architectural influences on the city in the 20th Century US.
