A couple of years ago, Danny Flynn became disheartened by our generation's uninspired use of photo-centric social media. He didn't think that people were exploring the comedic potential of instagram. He is enthusiastic about Toronto's dogs and their stories, so he started an instagram project.
Architectural graduate James Arps runs an Instragram account (@nzia_canterbury) that celebrates Canterbury Architecture and the high-quality projects being completed as part of the Christchurch rebuild. Posts illustrate the past, present and future of Christchurch, which is particularly pertinent given all that was lost in the earthquakes. Collaboration and the different perspectives of Instagram users can create an incredibly rich database of history in the modern-age.
