Ron Semel has a simple rationale for integrating process and design: if it doesn't break, you don't know what to fix. He starts off with the evolution of motocross, wanders through architectural design, and ends up at robotics. Even the design of his presentation seems to have a process to it!

Chuck Berleigh talks about the revolutionary design and architecture of the Gropius house created by Walter Gropius, a the founder of the Bauhaus, almost 75 years ago. With the houses conscious use of light, using mostly non-custom made components, and creating a different atmosphere to give the appropriate feel to each part of the house, it is truly a model of good, modern design and revolutionary for its time.

In The Magic House from PechaKucha Night Vientiane Vol. 3, Mair Hyman talks about the process of designing and building a dream house for him and his artist wife in Vientiane, Laos in the neighborhood of Ban Apinihan. The result is a stunning house that combines both Lao and Western elements.
