60 Years of Textile Art Inspiration from Honolulu
BY JOSH FELDMAN
@ VOL 28
ON NOV 11, 2016
In 60 Years of Textile Art Inspiration from Honolulu at PechaKucha Night Honolulu Vol. 28, Josh Feldman explores the inspiration for Tori Richard prints and explain why he thinks Honolulu is perhaps the only place where a company like Tori Richard is possible.
Josh is the president and CEO of Tori Richard, Ltd., a resort apparel company founded in Honolulu in 1956. Tori Richard is the largest textile and apparel manufacturer in the state of Hawaii with nearly 200 employees and over 2,000 points of distribution. Tori Richard is unique in that it creates and copyrights 100% of the textile artwork it uses. This is relatively unique in the industry and an area of expertise shared by just a few dozen companies globally.
