From giant, 100-person sing-along installations, to swings that play notes as you swing back and forth, these projects transform the way citizens interact with their cities and one another.

Reclaiming the Streets of Chennai

Aswathy Dilip talks about a citizen's initiative called Namma Chennai Namakke, for which she is taking the lead in gathering the support of Chennai citizens, including automobile owners, to embrace car-free streets on Sunday mornings. The space it is hoped can be used to promote healthy and happy lifestyles, and social capital through community building activities. When Dilip is not passionately spending time at work, she spends it with her naughty little son.
