Pirmin Hagen berichtet mit seinem Bruder, auf sehr witzige Art und Weise über die gemeinsame Druckleidenschaft. Sie haben alte Druckmaschinen erworben und diese in einer Halle aufgebaut. Nun soll dem Ganzen wieder Leben eingehaucht werden. Von Letterpress über Siebdruck zu Buchdruckmaschinen bis zu Litographiepressen ist alles zu finden - wohin die Reise führt wird sich allerdings noch zeigen.

In I'd Rather Be Printing from Pechakucha Night New Orleans Vol. 17, J.S. Makkos shares falling in love with antique printing presses as a youth exploring in his father’s antique shop. This helped define his passion for print making. He came down to New Orleans with a purpose to salvage the detritus and material culture of this city that was being lost in dumpsters and through a sequence of events, stumbled on a treasure trove of New Orleans history.

In Plastic Printing from PechaKucha Night Honolulu Vol. 27, Rob McConnell shares the technique of printing typography and designs using LEGO pieces. As a Graphic Design Professor at Brigham Young University Hawaii, he is interested in exploring all the possible learning experiences that this technique allows. This presentation covers how he came upon the idea and some of the plastic printing work that we have produced in the past year.
