Analog Photography 4: Playing With Dirt

Lulú De Panbehchi is back with round 4 of her analog photography. This time she is soaking her film in dirt and water before loading it into a toy (i.e. less expensive) camera. She then captures her part of the world in film and examines the results, reading life philosophies from the film.

Analog Food

"If we are what we eat, and art reflects what we are, is the art that I make what I eat?" Lulú De Panbehchi asks this question as she is inspired with photography. To find her answer, she mixes some of her favorite foods (like chocolate and cookies) and favorite drinks (like wine) with the film in her camera and has fun with the results.

Analog is Not Obsolete

Miami-based artist Kevin Arrow talks about his new project Obsolete Media Miami (O.M.M.) which is a repository for 35mm slides, archival motion picture materials and other legacy media.  His enterprise functions as a research and preservation studio, a makerspace for analog media techniques and A/V club. It reaches media professionals, archivists, cultural producers and an engaged public with audiovisual presentations, lectures, performances, collaborations and workshops that showcase obsolete media materials in new contexts.
