Whereas most people became weary of airplanes after September 11th, Bill Fox decided to take up his childhood dream of flying. He became a pilot and then flew over a volcano. While flying over the volcano he learned that living life to the fullest is a lot like being a volcano.

John Makowsky is a young tech entrepreneur and the founder of Vector Finesse, a 3D printing startup in Prince George. He’s a storyteller by nature, and spends a lot of time “spongin”. A firm believer that being smart is cool, he is constantly learning and teaching himself (and others) new things.

In "Nan and Pop's Retro Perspective" from PechaKucha Night Cairns Vol. 19, Mark Cochrane shares his the story of how he began working as a photographer through a whimsical project called "Nan and Pop's" travel adventures.

Mark has photographed model dolls, a vintage model car and model retro caravan to depict Nan and Pop’s adventures driving across Australia.  Nan and Pop’s adventures soon went viral and a star was born.

In the past several years his work and interests have given him opportunities to visit many places around the globe for learning, serving, and sharing in all forms. Jonathan’s most recent collaboration is with Conscious Impact, a grassroots organization dedicated to rebuilding community in a rural village in Nepal following the devastating 2015 earthquake.
