@ Red Door Restaurant

PechaKucha Night was devised in Tokyo in February 2003 as an event for young designers to meet, network, and show their work in public.

It's a simple presentation format which involves talking along to 20 automatically advancing images, each for 20 seconds.
The Pecha Kucha event has traveled to over 900 cities in the world and is now returning to Ho Chi Minh city for Volume 8 !

The idea - Absolutely anyone can present a story, an idea, a thought or even holiday snaps in the Pecha Kucha 20*20 format. PK nights are informal fun, events for creative people to find common ground and just have fun ! Don't let the word 'presentation' deter you.

The presenters - The beauty of Pecha Kucha is that anyone can present!. PechaKucha presentations are the ones that uncover the unexpected -- unexpected talent, unexpected ideas. Some PechaKuchas tell great stories about a project or a trip. Some are incredibly personal, some are incredibly funny, but all are very different.

This time we have 7 presenters, 3 in Vietnamese ( subtitled in English ) and 4 in English. Details to follow soon.

Event will start at 6 pm so come early to ensure you have a seat. We have a limited space for 30 members only.

- Date: Saturday 9 July 2016, 6pm - 9pm
- Venue: Red Door Restaurant, 400/8 Le Van Sy District 3, HCMC

At the Intersection of Cuisine and Culture

@ VOL 8 ON JUL 09, 2016

Hien Ngo shares on his restaurant venture. You have probably never wondered how a restaurant set up by an amateur restauranteur, once a trained biochemist then a salesman (who was born and raised in Saigon, grew up in Sacramento, CA and left America from Boston, MA) would turn out. Here is what Hien Ngo said: "I'm a wanderer who has a passion for food especially Vietnamese food, so why not making something fun out of food while I'm here in Vietnam, why not adding another interpretation about Vietnamese food to the table." So let's find out what has he done.
