3D Printing: A Whole New World

In "3D Printing: A Whole New World" from PechaKucha Night Bryan Vol. 2, 3D printing and scanning is an emerging tech and its presence at Texas A&M is becoming more widespread. In his presentation, Benedict Nguyen discusses its exciting most recent developments.

This presentation briefly explores the production and workflow of creativity as it is first “discovered” in a graphite and/or ink sketch, then compositionally interpreted in Photoshop, and finally reinterpreted as a canvas painting from the digital compilation. Do the tools available with advances in technology change the paradigm of the creative decision making process? And, the chicken or the egg question, Is the canvas painting an original or a copy?
