In celebration of the special Artek installation that was done in collaboration with Klein Dytham architecture at DOVER STREET MARKET GINZA, join us on Thursday, October 31, for a very special PechaKucha event.

Five presenters will be on hand to share their thoughts on topics ranging from the iconic Artek stool that forms the base of the installation, to elephants in art, as a nod to the installation space, that features a giant elephant statue.

The event will take place in the Rose Bakery space on the 7th floor of DOVER STREET MARKET GINZA. Drinks and snacks will be available for purchase.

Stool 60's 80th Anniversary

Finally they discuss a collaborative work that Klein Dytham architecture has done with Artek to celebrate Artek's Stool 60's 80th anniversary.

Oyyo's Dhurries

Marcus Åhren is a co-founder of a design studio named Oyyo. His studio designs and sells Dhurries (similar to rugs). To make these dhurries, they employ 20 weavers in India and use special vegetable dyes for coloring. Watch to learn why and how they do what they do.

Rose Bakery Arrives in Japan

Tomoko Udohira presents the famous Rose Bakery. This bakery is headquartered in Paris and is always crowded. In this bakery they cook things like pizzas and carrot cakes. To make them they use as many organic ingredients as possible. Recently Rose Bakery has opened branches in Japan. (In Japanese)
