Finding Optimism

BY AMANDA CLARK
@ VOL 1 ON MAY 09, 2013

Amanda Clark uses her own artwork, in the form of painting, collage, and spoken word, to look at the problems facing the world today. She looks at how humans mistreat each other and take advantage of our resources, but also explains how to remain optimistic, and where positive change can be found in the world.

R

BY LOUISE LEFEBVRE
@ VOL 1 ON MAY 09, 2013

Using photographs of a blue ‘R’ as illustration, Louise Lefebvre gives a spoken word performance on the problems facing the modern world, focusing on the environment, and social reform. She uses her speech to draw attention to what could be lost if society is not careful, and what society may leave behind if it does not change.
