ŽELEZNÝ BROD Posts

Upcoming: Železný Brod Vol. 3

Located along the Jizera River in the Liberic Region of the Czech Republic, the town of Železný Brod has held two PechaKucha Nights up until this point -- both of them a grand success.

PKN Železný Brod's Vol. 3 looks to be even bigger than its predecessors.

Thirteen presenters will be on hand to discuss their passions, an animated short will be shown, and an after-party will be held to conclude the celebrations. Volume 3 will be held this Friday, March 15 at 7pm.

To see more great posters from PechaKucha Nights all over the world, check out our Tumblr blog.

PKN Toronto Vol. 17 Presentations Kathy Toth is an art photographer, and in her presentation (from PKN Toronto Vol. 17) she shares a recent photography project about hidden spaces in the city where bridges, drains, and drainage channels become art galleries for graffiti, skate parks for teens. These are all sorts of wonderful things to a small group of people who make creative uses of spaces that are hidden from the common eye. Herein (from PKN Pittsfield Vol. 3) lies the unofficial and unauthorized history of the mason jar, produced by Craig Langlois in the form of drawings. PKN Tokyo Vol. 96 Posters Today on the Tumblr blog we feature the flyer image for this month's PKN Tokyo Vol. 96, which is better known as our big Tokyo Designers Week edition. Happening on October 31 at the TDW grounds (Meiji-Jingu Gaien) in a venue that can hold up to 1200, it will be one of the bigger PKNs we've had in Tokyo. You'll find more details on our event page and on our Facebook event page, and every day we are highlighting presenters on our PechaKucha Tokyo page on Facebook.  httpv://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3pli6T_xcAo Videos Today we share a short video that offers up a look at Zelezny Brod's recent first PKN, and with PKN Orlando Vol. 7 just around the corner (October 26), here's a video interview with that city's organizer, Eddie Selover.
