BY GIOVANI URBANISTI FONDAZIONE LABÒ
@ VOL 10 ON OCT 31, 2014

From the 1st July 2014 Giovani Urbanisti – Fondazione Labò association started to manage the monumental complex of the Lanterna di Genova, the historical lighthouse of Genoese port. The voluntary action was aimed to avoid its forthcoming closure due to the lack of funds hitting the Provincia di Genova local authority. We gladly accepted the responsibility to sustain the landmark of our city in such a difficult time, in conjunction with the tenth anniversary of its opening to the public. Despite being classified as a “National Monument”, the risk to fall into disuse was really high, as it happened to many of the forts crowning Genoa.

Therefore, through our attempts to regenerate and promote the complex, we hope that the citizens could get more passionate about their lighthouse and could more and more identify themselves in it, as symbol of Genoese culture and history.

Hardware Softcore

BY GABRIELE FALCONI
@ VOL 4 ON MAY 13, 2015
