Get back to the future at PechaKucha Night Tokyo Design Week Special, 3D impresario Taketo Kobayashi’s diverse art projects include printed prosthetic limbs, neo-Jomon jewelry and psychedelic computer graphics. Taketo draws inspiration from the correlations between prehistoric societies and contemporary sub-cultures.

デジタルアーティストのXSENSE・小林武人さんは、大きく時代が異なる各カルチャーの相互関係から得たインスピレーションで様々なデジタル3D作品を発表しています。中でもメカニック調デザインが特徴的な義肢シリーズは、まるで近未来のロボットヒーローアニメの世界が実現されたかのようなクールさが際立ちます。制作背景から実現まで、プレゼンテーションは時代を超えた魅力に包まれています。

In Vogue

Mixed-media artist Daniela Montoya conducted her master's thesis on the ballroom community dance known as "Vogue". Daniela's research work on this subculture revealed a unique heirarchy and kinship system including titles like "mother" and "sister" and she exounds upon the influence the vogue subculture has had upon pop culture.
