Illustrator Adrian Hogan and Alex Queen met while both residents in Aomori, and they kick of their presentation by introducing some the lesser known sights and culture of the prefecture. They then talk about a publishing project they have launched that involves "Tsugaru Folk Tales" translated into modern Japanese and English. You'll even get to learn a few words from the Aomori dialect.

Anita C‘s Art & Life Method

Anita C moved to earth 5 years ago. Now she is an artist, and also works in PR for a lighting design company. In this presentation, we are introduced to a few of Anita's recent works, as well as upcoming projects. She also introduce the Cytus project, an app music game made by the Taiwanese game company Rayark.

Mayuhouse

Izumi Saito talks about Mayuhouse, a compact prefabricated hut made of clay that was designed by her father. The living space is fully covered with a clay wall that breathes and wraps around you softly like a cocoon (MAYU), creating a healthy comfortable environment.

Orandajima House

Tokyo-based architect Martin van der Linden (van der Architects) takes us on a tour of one of his latest projects, the Orandajima House, an after-school facility and community centre in Yamada-machi, a small town on the cost of Northern Japan that was almost completely destroyed after the tsunami of March 2011.

メディアの発達により情報が氾濫し、何を信じていいのかわからなくなった結果、私たちは「何を言うか」よりも「誰が言うか」を大切にする時代に生きています。つまり、情報の内容より情報を伝える人の魅力が重要視されるようになりました。「情報(=言語)の時代」から「魅力(=非言語)の時代」に変わってきているのです。対人関係における魅力は、想像力を使った非言語コミュニケーション能力とも言えます。そして、演劇は想像力と非言語コミュニケーションの最高のトレーニングになるのです。
