The Human Rights Tattoo project is an art project to create awareness and underline the importance of Human Rights. The idea originates from Sander van Bussel. The murder of fellow artist Steven ‘Nyash’ Nygah in Nairobi motivated him to pursue this idea. HRT's goal is to tattoo the complete text of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights on individuals, letter by letter. The complete text of this declaration contains 6773 letters. Each person gets one character.

Tim Jewell is a tattoo artist from Sioux Falls, South Dakota. He has been tattooing for the last fourteen years and painting for the last seven. When looking at Tim's work the viewer can expect to see the influence of 14 years of tattooing, as well as inspiration from tattoo heroes such as; Sailor Jerry, Bert Grimm, Percy Waters, and Amund Dietzel. You can expect bold, bright and straight forward art with very little nonsense. Born in Hawai‘i of mixed Tongan, Hawaiian, and Filipino decent, Sua Suluape Toetu‘u Aisea specializes in both machine tattoo and traditional hand tapped tatu. Aisea's passion has always been art currently working at Soul Signature Tattoo, he is also a student here at the Art School, a part-time instructor, and curator of Aloha Suits exhibition.
