Announcing the 28th Pecha Kucha night in Providence! The Steel Yard has been so gracious (for a second year in a row) to allow us to gather on their grounds the Wednesday before Wooly Fair! The event is free - as always (although donations can be made to the Architecture for Humanity efforts in Japan). Trinity Brew-house will have beer and wine for sale, and LJ's big pink BBQ Truck will be on site to serve food (for purchase)!
The theme this month is "space" and the presenters will be announced when they are finalized!
If you haven't yet heard of this global yet unpronounceable phenomenon, Pecha Kucha is a monthly format for sharing ideas, in which presenters are allotted 20 slides and 20 seconds per slide. Put simply: 6 minutes and 40 seconds of adult-style ...show & tell. It began in Tokyo in 2003, has since spread to over 400 cities worldwide, and first landed in Providence in March of 09.
***Doors open at 7:20, presentations start at 8:20, and shmoozing goes down throughout.***
