About the City's Organizers

  • Mark Johnson

University Professor, Technology and Workforce Learning at Pittsburg State University. I enjoy speaking in front of groups and performing as part of the Community Theater. Probably best known for my "Memory Skills". I can still memorize all my students in my classes the first night of class and then call on them by name throughout the semester. Favorite Quote: * It may take a village to raise a child, but it takes empowered children to grow the village.

  • Robert Smith

History lecturer at Pittsburg State University, domestic supervisor and presiding Chef de Cuisine at the Maison Smith. At various times I have called myself a Librarian, Historian, and Geek. At a ripe old age I went back to college and as a result I am a proud MA History Graduate from Pittsburg State University, Kansas. (Go Gorillas!). Looking for new challenges all the time – see driver for details. I’m an aviation enthusiast of long standing, going back to the time when my parents asked me if I’d like a model Spitfire “like the one Daddy used to fly.” When I’m not doing any of the above I’m reading other peoples’ blogs, watching old movies, YouTube, yelling at Wikipedia, tweeting about Public Radio (shout out to KRPS 89.9FM, Pittsburg’s NPR station and a terrific bunch of people), aviation, and random topics. I’m also learning Garageband on IOS and how to play the Didgeridoo – not at the same time.
