VOL 10

December 07, 2017
@ Cannery Brewing

Penticton, BC, Thursday Dec 7/2017 at 6 p.m. Cannery Brewing

For our tenth volume of Pecha Kucha Penticton we went looking for your tall tales. Travel stories, work stories, happy stories, tragic stories, even stories you made up but just have to tell. It doesn’t mater if they’re true, half true or entirely false, they just have to be good. We won’t press you for details, we promise. Slides can be photos you took, images you find or pictures you’ve scribbled on a bar napkin the last time you tried to impress a pal with your torrid tale. It’s up to you.
Japanese for “chit-chat,” Pecha Kucha originated in Tokyo in 2003 and since grown into an international speaker series based on a simple format: 20 images x 20 seconds. Presenters get 6 minutes and 40 seconds to share their story in a slide-show format.
Held four times a year in Penticton, the popular not-for-profit series brings together a diverse of range of Okanagan thinkers and doers in the arts, business, design, architecture, mental health, entrepreneurship, biology, journalism and many other fields.
Local music aficionado and award-winning podcaster Tenacious T will be in house for your listening pleasure.
