Ostrava's PechaKucha Night Vol. 3 was held this past Saturday, and from what we hear it was a full house. Here's a look at the poster that was created for the event, featuring a nod to the Swiss-ness found in all PKNs. PKN Ostrava organizer Jiri Vicherek explains:
The Swiss army knife is the symbol of third PKN Ostrava, and the reason should be obvious. Both the Swiss army knife and the PechaKucha format share the same valuable attributes: They are popular, prestigious, smart, versatile, functional and unique, and both combine great concepts inside of them. So enjoy our third poster for our third PKN event.

PechaKucha Night in Ostrava Vol. 3 has been announced for March 5, and here's organizer Jiri Vicherek with some more details. A third PKN in Ostrava, and a third interesting venue. After the amazing location in the middle of an old industrial complex protected by UNESCO, Lower Vítkovice, and the second event at the most famous Ostravian dance club, The Fabric, which attracted close to 700 people, the third PechaKucha Night is to be held in the movie theatre Vesmír (the name means "cosmos' or "space" in Czech). This venue in the city center has great historical value to the city and at the same time is a superb technical facility. Speakers are yet to be confirmed, tickets (for free, organizers are trying hard to maintain this luxury) will be available next week, and a full house is expected yet again. More info (in Czech) is available on the local website or at the facebook page.

PKN Ostrava Vol. 2
Looks like it was an amazing PechaKucha Night Vol. 2 for Ostrava, held this past Saturday, as described below by organizer Jiri Vicherek.
It was completely full, about 700 people of all ages and backgrounds! The event was at club Fabric, usually a dance club, very famous, and rebuilt from the old tram depot! 12 guests presented their passion, including Adam Gebrian, architecture guru and co-organizer of PKN Prague, design studio OFICINA -- creators of the visual concept of the Prima COOL TV Channel -- and guys from the design studio Najbrt -- creators of both Ostrava's and Prague's city logo design. It was huge succes, documented by various national and local media.
