Monique Lassooij worked her way up, down, and around the corporate ladder in Holland before she found her fit as a painter in Miami.  She is a portrait painter that explores the juxtaposition between modern and classic, light and dark, and serious and sarcasms.

Nitisha has had a passion for art since she was a young girl. When she landed in a foreign country with no friends and no idea of how things would be, she became depressed and lost her passion for living. As time passed, she fatefully met the owner of Jo Art Gallery & Decor who offered a position in which she can teach others how to paint. 

She believes that making art brings joy to others.

She works at Bicycle Junction as their Marketing and Community Activator, her dream job since moving back to Wellington in 2017. She dedicates this talk to her father and hopes to turn legacy into purpose.
