MÁLAGA Posts

Here's a fantastic video that was produced by audiovisual lab LaTrama, in celebration of PKN Malaga's first anniversary -- the event portrayed is the city's Vol. 7.

Málaga's Vol. 6 is going down today, but their second PechaKucha night (held last September) went off with a bang, and video production studio VisualK has put together a fantastic video from the Vol. 2, which can be found here.

You can find more details, photos, and presenter profiles at PKN Málaga's Vol. 2 event page

To see snaps from PechaKucha Nights near you and from all over the world, check out our Global Map.

The sunny Spanish seaside city of Málaga is bound to leave more than a few with a summer tan, but this guy may have overdone it a bit.

This poster comes to us via PKN Málaga, for their Vol. 6 event coming up on June 28th, so keep that in mind -- and maybe upgrade to SPF 50 this summer?

PKN Tokyo Vol. 95 Presentations Alexandre Dimos is a French graphic designer, and in his presentation (from PKN Tokyo Vol. 95) he talks about Back Cover. As he explains, he couldn't find what he really wanted to read in France, and so he helped create an independant magazine focusing on thinking and analyzing graphic design and typographic practices, and to a larger extent, visual arts. Miro Pecho is a Slovak painter, and he uses his presentation (in Czech, from PKN Znojmo Vol. 1) to explain how different fantasy worlds influence his paintings. PKN Malaga Vol. 3 Posters We have two new posters on the Tumblr blog today, starting with PKN Malaga Vol. 3, pictured above (the event was held last night). The other addition is for PKN New Orleans Vol. 7, which is happening tomorrow night.  The image below is not a poster or a flyer, but rather part of a call for presenters for the next PKN in Genoa (or Genova), and we loved it so much we wanted to share it. All roads lead to PechaKucha! The event itself will take place on November 23. PKN Genoa Vol. 4 Calendar There are two PKNs on the agenda tonight (October 3), PKN Bilbao Vol. 13 and PKN Szczecin Vol. 1. PKN Blue Mountains Vol. 2 Presentations In their presentation (in Czech, from PKN Usti nad Labem Vol. 2), Boris Kanka and Vendula Urbanova talk about the annual architecture student project competition at TU Liberec called "Jested F Kleci." And in this presentation (from PKN Blue Mountains Vol. 2), we learn about the potential for creative utilisation of low rental properties in Detroit. PKN Gisborne Vol. 10 Posters We end the week with no new additions to the Tumblr blog, so instead we highlight the poster you see above, for the upcoming PKN Gisborne Vol. 10, which is set for September 21.
