In its 5th year, PechaKucha Night Istanbul has a new host, MIXER. This year’s first event will take place on March 20th, Thursday evening , at 20:20 hrs. PechaKucha Night İstanbul Vol. 19 invites all creative industries and corporate creatives to discuss ‘Creating a Brand/Product’. How does a product/brand idea get initiated? How is it developed ? What is the process from idea to market. Interested? Then join the discussion in our audience.

Bomba

Kerem Piker speaks about his project, Bomba, a report on a fictional, accidental 1943 bombing of Istanbul by the Allies, and the three politically and socially significant landmarks his fictional history reports as destroyed. In doing so, he questions how these sites have become important, and what nonfictional accidents are responsible for their present images.

57 Hours Later...

GEA-SAR arrived in Port Au Prince-Haiti, from Turkey, 57 hours after the Haiti Eartquake. As soon as the team arrived the city, they started to work on the debris of the biggest supermarket of the city. GEA-SAR operated 6 days, working with US SFTF2 team on the debris of Caribbean Market and saved 5 lives.

PechaKucha Night Istanbul Vol.18 Social Responsibility with Creative Touches was held

 
          
 
 
PechaKucha Night İstanbul Vol. 18 was held at Building Information Center (YEM) on Thursday, December  19, 2013. In this volume, we had been looking for  at  social responsibility from a creative perspective.
It was our last Pechakucha event for 2013.  In the night, 150-200 guests were with us.  9 speakers were on the stage with their projects on social responsiblity.
We were talking about urban transformation, design, architecture, parks, ecology,  food, social media and more titles. Under the subjects of "how could we make the world a better place to live? what can we do for sustainability? what 'a creative touch' could add to social responsibility projects? " After the presentations, at the break time, presenters met with guests.  They answered questions and explained how can they involve in these projects at the real time.
Now, we are really excited for 2014. Follow us for the new year headlines and events
