And somehow, at the cross road of my life, this positive attitude totally change my point of view, then gradually change my life too. It helps me to change my life from weird and isolate to friendly and social inter- action.

Now, being a mother of two kids, I really want to be my children's friend and help them if need. I hope this presentation will inspire them to keep smiling and looking at bright-side when they struggle in the difficult time in their life. "

Bitcoin #WTF? Saved My Life

BY FREDDIE HEARTLINE
@ VOL 11 ON JUL 22, 2017

"Bitcoin is amazing because it is absolutely the most powerful network in the planet right now."

In "Bitcoin #WTF? Saved My Life" from PechaKucha Night Hanoi Vol. 11, Freddie Heartlinee tells a quick story about how he, a founder of a fledgling and failing start-up, luckily found the investment of a lifetime after spending most of his retirement savings trying to save his company.

The implications of Bitcoin's underlying technology totally blew Freddie Heartlinee's mind - and saved his (financial) life. He is currently as passionate and in love with the technology as he was on that fateful day, at that nerdy little meet-up in Vancouver in 2013.

Guimaraes as Capital of Culture, Plzen's Urban Development, and Photos from Tijuana

Presentations
For 2012, the historical city of Guimaraes (Portugal) has become the European Capital of Culture. During this time, the city is full of hope, energy, creativity, and it is also full of brand new 6'40'' narratives to share. Active since October 2011, the PechaKucha Night Guimares experience has had so many stories, and in this presentation (from PKN Tokyo Vol. 94), the city's organizers, José Martins and João Rosmaninho, will introduce and chat about the Country, the City, and its PechaKucha Night.

Bohdan Bláhovec's presentation (in Czech, from PKN Plzen Vol. 1) is titled "The Vision of Developers and City Municipality," and as a representative of an unnamed developer, he covers the vision of future development in Plzen. In just 6 minutes and 666667 hundreds of seconds he undresses the city and thus exposes its pure beauty.

Posters
We have two new flyers to share today on the Tumblr blog: PKN Hanoi Vol. 5 (pictured above), happening this Thursday, and PKN Williamsburg Vol. 3, set for November.

Photos
Tijuana held its very first PKN back in July, and here's a small photo gallery [Flickr] to give you an idea of what that event looked like. No word yet on when Vol. 2 will take place, but it shouldn't be too long before an announcement is made.

Calendar
There are no events happening tonight, but here's what's in store for tomorrow (September 25): PKN Bowling Green Vol. 1, PKN Birmingham Vol. 6, PKN Huddersfield Vol. 6, PKN Lyon Vol. 4, and PKN Nantes Vol. 4.
